Brazilian wines
The majority of people connect Brazil with the carnival, samba and mixed drinks. However, this view is starting to take turn towards wine, which popularity is on rise in this country. Consequently, Brazil is becoming a wine destination and is gaining on the world around it with mile steps.
At the present time, more than 78 000 hectares of vineyards are planted and the planted areas are spreading due to planned planting in new regions. A vast majority of all Brazilian vineyards lie in the South in the country of Rio Grande Sul, where there are four out of the five most important areas - Vale dos Vinhedos, Serra Gaúcha, Campos de Cima da Serra and Campanha. To visit the fifth region of Vale do São Francisco we would have to get relocated as far as to the Equator, into the tropical climate of the northern country of Bahia.

Vineyards in the village of Velké Žernoseky (district of Litoměřice) are ones of the northernmost vineyards in the Czech Republic. The first written comments about wine-growing and wine production in this region date back to 1057. The extensive wine cellars, used by vintners until now, were built in 1251 and their total area is almost 1,200 sq. m. Almost eighty percent of the wines produced are white wines, with Müller Thurgau and Rheinriesling (Ryzlink rýnský) being the most typical for this region

RODINNÉ VINAŘSTVÍ SPRINGER
The roots of our Springer family wine growing reach back to 1807. We fell the commitment and we accept the misssion to continue in this tradition because in Bořetice, where we come from, the grapevine and viticulture has succeeded since centuries. The grapes we use to produce wine come exclusively from our own vineyards. We put emphasis on environmentally friendly production technologies. By the wine production we rely on the nature of the vintage and the sense of it. Our best wines with the Family Reserve label are not filtred nor clarified. They are full of pure energy, bear the traces of the individual character of the cellarman and are therefore unmistakable. Our biggest pride is a coupage of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Svatovavřinecké varieties - cuvée Skale.

this golden vintage has the aroma of ripe apricots mingled with soft honey tones. On the palate you can feel the distinctive tones of apricots completed with exotic fruit like mango and citruses. The wine has a very long and pleasant lingering.

Cuvée Skale is made from the Merlot (60 %), Cabernet Sauvignon (30 %) and Svatovavřinecké (10 %) varieties. The wine had enough time to integrate harmoniously primary nuances of sweet tannins produced during the longer aging in oak casks. The fruitiness of ripe black cherries and mulberries expressed in the wine is emphasized by subtle animal undertones. Its taste is full and mellow, overall the wine is refined, luscious and pleasantly drinkable. It has a fine velvety finish.
